Singles

Singles SoundtrackSingles is a 1992 romantic comedy movie written and directed by Cameron Crowe.

Singles is about a group of six young people, mostly in their 20s, live in the same apartment building in Seattle, Washington. Their lives revolve around the growing Seattle alternative music scene of the early '90s. It focuses on the couple Steve Dunne (Campbell Scott) and Linda Powell (Kyra Sedgwick), who meet at an Alice In Chains concert and eventually fall in love.

The Singles soundtrack included music from key bands from the Seattle music scene of the time, such as Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam. Nirvana was the only major grunge band of the time to not appear on the soundtrack.

The soundtrack is primarily focused on the ascendant grunge scene of the early 1990s. The Singles soundtrack is a terrific introduction to the Seattle sound/grunge music of the early 1990s. It was released on June 30, 1992.

Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump soundtrack coverForrest Gump is a 1994 movie directed by Robert Zemeckis and it stars Tom Hanks, Robin Wright Penn, and Gary Sinise. Forrest Gump is based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom.

Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) is an autistic man who comes from Alabama, he tells his life's tale to people waiting at a bus stop in Savannah, Georgia. Through his life journey Forrest meets historical figures, including a meeting with Elvis Presley, JFK, Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon. Forrest joins the army for service in Vietnam, and wins medals. Forrest has experiences with some of the most important events of the late 20th century.

The Forrest Gump soundtrack has a good selection of rock and roll, it contains a Lot of great music by different artists such as Elvis Presley, Clarence "Frogman" Henry, Joan Baez, Aretha Franklin, Randy Newman and many more. The score for the movie was composed and conducted by Alan Silvestri. The soundtrack released on June 28, 1994, and it features 31 American classic pop tunes plus a suite from Alan Silvestri's rich orchestral music On 2 CDs.
